POTENTIAL ENDURANCE / SHOW HORSE
Pintabian gelding 99.7% Arabian, by the famous Dakota Ink Spots.
9yrs old and standing at approx 14.2hh
Daks is a pleasure to have on the yard, and excellent to do in all ways. He will live in or out and is currently out in a mixed herd.
I have owned him for the past 3 years, and in that time I have brought him on from a lightly backed pony that new nothing really, to a pony that will hack out for miles, school sensibly at home, and go out showing bringing home in hand championships! He is a real showman and turns heads wherever we go.
He is typical Arab and can be sensitive and spooky to ride, so not for a novice. However he has never bucked, reared or bronked, and is good in traffic. We hack out all over and he will cross streams, go sensibly on open spaces, and is fine on his own or in company. He loves his hacking and would suit a home where he could do long distance riding, pleasure rides, or equally showing.
He happily goes barefoot, is good to clip, bath, plait up, load, travel etc.. He has no stable vices and will live in over winter if he needs to.
He is evenly marked and always placed in coloured classes. He has excellent limbs and moves straight. The faster you run, the bigger he trots! We have done a small number of ridden classes, but he can get a little tense still, due to lack of miles in the ring. Nothing nasty, just a little green. The more classes he does, the more relaxed he becomes, but this will improve with regular work. (I currently ride him about once a fortnight due to work commitment and a young family.)
Due to personal circumstances I need to reduce numbers, and with Daks having so much potential, I feel he is wasted with me. He is my absolute pride and joy, and it will break my heart to see him go.
Please don't call with young children in mind, or if you do not have experience with horses. I don't mean to sound rude, but home is of most importance to me.
He is up to date with vaccinations, worming, teeth , back and feet.
