Tommy has three established paces in the school, he's snaffle mouthed, laid back although with a little help from the schooling crop he can up his gear for you. Tommy is laid back and forgiving although can be a little lazy when schooling a riding school cob who has given years to his job, never let his owners down and taught people how to ride! Tommy is looking for that forever loving home! Don't be put off by his age, as come with age, comes safe, established and experienced!

I always buy ex riding school cobs not only because they are reliable safe steeds but because they are grateful to find that forever loving home and enjoy the fun aspects of happy hacking, pleasure rides, horsey holidays and beach rides! I feel that Tommy would suit a rider wanting a safe cob to enjoy local level pleasure activities such as hacking, pleasure rides and even participating on the local hunt for fun! He's bombproof in traffic not spooky or sharp neither phased by heavy traffic or farm machinery. He has no issues with going first or last and is more than happy to lead our green or challenging horses.

Tommy has excellent ground manners and will stand for hours to be bathed, groomed, plaited ect! He's not phased by the clippers I clipt his jaw line and ears ect without any bother and without him even having a head collar on! He's totally not phased by anything and settled in perfect on my yard. He gets on well with the dogs and we have a rather challenging German shepherd who barks at him and jumps up on his stable door as the shepherd is new to the yard and learning about horses! But Tommy has been brilliant and so patient and understand and completely not phased at all by him.

Tommy has been a work horse daily sometimes hours upon hours working and serving his owners by allowing others to learn how to ride! He was sold due to the riding school closing down and is now looking for a forever loving home! As you can imagine he's not so enthusiastic about schooling and can be lazy when it comes to cantering in the school! Although he's a comfy arm chair ride with perfect paces! He needs to mix up the riding side of things by hacking ect and not just daily schooling.

Hes older and wiser so looking for a home where he is used for local level activities! Happy hacking and fun pleasure rides! He will school nicely so maybe even local level dressage as long as he's doing other things aswel. He's not forward going, never going to take off and won't win races, he's steady safe and more of a cob to give you confidence! Knowing you can go out hacking and pass everything from tractors, diggers, buses even horses and carts and know that you will return home safe!

Hes excellent to shoe, box clip and loads and travels perfect, he gets on very well with other horses although has spent most of his life stabled so introducing turn out and his new daily routine would be ideal. I rug all my horses this time of year due to the weather change. Hes passported microchips and vaccinated and has had regular health checks.
