With that unusual facial marking your friend stands a very good chance of getting her back. Maybe send an email with the head shot to every auction house in the country. If they print it out and put it on their notice boards, it'll be see by a lot of dealers too

So did I.  Don't forget Ashford auctions this week (I think!) so worth calling them too to keep an eye out.  They can't put them in the rings nowadays without a passport but a lot goes on 'behind the scenes' without the auctioneer's involvement...so I've been told.

Good point BAHW, selling on the car park to avoid paying auctioneers fees is rife at every auction

Ashford market is on the 24th Feb 2011. Hobbs parker do not allow horses to go through without a passport! But like TH and BAHW have already said about the goings on in car par parks and lets face it, Hobbs parker car park is huge!

That would be the market closest to where the mare was stolen would it?

Hopefully, the internet is working its' magic and making that mare very hot property

Yes it's the closest! Also Duckurst in Staplehurst in Kent have auctions! This would be a place that i would go and check out when they are on ! lots of gypos go there, so they must change hands behind the scenes.
