warmed up ok then we did our first warm up fence a tiny xpole but marble tought it might kill him so did a huge jump then settled down and warmed up perfect and was ready to go in when 2 more mini competors turned up so marble tought he was hunting again and go above his station so que me having to re warm up went in and the course was very spooky and the full up 80cm went perfect til 7 which was very spooky but i kept my legs on and he popped it got to 9 which was a bale of hay covered in and wall type fabric and on a very hard turn and i just took my legs off so he stroped but jumped brill the rest of the way so i didnt get to do the jump off 
and am so annoyed with my self

We find they need a few outings before they'll jump a strage course fluently. Think about it - Not many youngsters you can take to a show with other horses and in a new environment, then take them in a strange ring with fences they've never seen, they often make a fool of us We usually hire some jumps away from home a couple of times before going to a show, and even then they can make us look like complete amateurs

the funny thing is he has no issue at all with spooky fences in fact he loves them its just in my head he will stop so i take my legs off
yh he is brill at the pratise courses
