Our dressage club has just updated their rules that light coloured gloves must be warn for all levels I hate white gloves they make your hands galringly obvious

So does anybody have any recommendations of light coloured comfy gloves that are smart but not too pricey and won't get filthy in one wear (I seem to have a habit of falling in the mud (not from horseback) when I wear white to competitions

I hate white gloves I would go for a pair of tan leather ones like the showing people use. They might set you back £20 but you'll get years out of them and you can also use them for other classes

I have a beige and brown pair part leather part fabric but i cant remember what make that I got for BD. Fortunately now most unaffiliated places I compete at allow black and I am always losing them so have a pair in the tack box, a pair in my hat box, a pair in the glove compartment (isnt that what its for lol).

I have just got for xmas some MacWet Climatec gloves, they are fantastic. I got them in black and they were just over £20 (i got mine off amazon/fee delivery so were cheaper) I think they do them in white.

Here's the link:

I've got a pair of MacWets that I use for hunting - well Katie has taken possession of and I love them, you can fasten straps without taking them off but not sure the colour choice would be ideal for JG

JG - I would in your sitiation go for a white pair... as Bob has a white mane, which will blend better and wont be as obvious as you think....

To use a brown pair will make them more obvious on a black and white gg... I use Black on Alfie - only because white is frowned upon at the momment in the show world.....

However this is my little humble opinion.... lol

Also, for dressage I dont think an all singing dancing pair matters.... Sayiong that EVERYONE bought me some really lovely gloves this year, as im forever loosing one, and there so ruddi expensive! So im now the proud owner of lots (4 pairs) of spanky leather gloves!!! lol

IW has a point there - white gloves are the only colour that would be camouflaged against the Bobster

Aww thanks all I had a rummage about in our local tack shop and found some lovely white SSG ones in the end though I looked at the Macwets online and they do look lush so I may treat myself next time I put an order in online

I've gone for the uber cheap (think they're cottage craft!) dotty inside, cotton outside £2.99 ones. It means if they get beyond washable repair they can be binned and another pair bought to replace them. Or failing that you can get 5 for the price of a normal pair of gloves.
