Oooh lucky her no scaffolding! where abouts is the plate situated? (You know what im like with bone breaks & gore TH ) side of wrist, top or underneath? To be completely honest she's so much better without plaster if they can do it as im sure some will remember the problems I had when i did mine. They'll prob just give her a splint for occasional use. Putting the elbow joint in plaster made it seize & i couldnt move the joint fully & outstretch my arm for 6 months after. This way the joint although will mainly be stable there will be a small amount of movement allowed sooner that way then with plaster. Plus ... having a cast is blooming itchy & annoying when bathing & showering! Tell us all when things are a bit calmer etc, if you can. Get well soon Katie!!

Poor girl, but good news she doesn't need anything outside the body The problem with arm injuries is you can't even do things like crafts to keep you from getting too bored

Peachy, the ball bit of her wrist joint went into the socket and broke it, and there is a split along the long bone. She has a plate underneath her arm which is in a "T" shape to support the long bone and the wrist bone. I'm not very technical Apparently, the plate may stay in her arm permanently. Will her arm be bigger than the other when all is healed?
