i was talking to someone the other day about when i broke my collar bone and ribs a few years ago.

now the place i used to take my horse to for jumping was on a disused railway line, just off the track was good ground and lots of fallen down trees which we could jump so i used to do it on a regular basis (4 times a week maybe)
anyway 2 weeks before i had my accident i was jumping the same fallen down tree and just before the jump a 'figure' caught my eye to the right, it wasn't a person so to speak and i had a chill run down my back so i got out of there after the first tree.

that 'figure' stayed at the front of my mind for the following couple of weeks but thought i was being stupid so a week later i went back there with my OH, i jumped the trees and went to go out a different way than normal, don't know why i just did it!
the following day the police put out a request/plea for anyone who had been in the woods/on the track the day before, i went forward and found out that 2 bikers had been going down the line and one of them got thrown off his bike, found out there was fishing wire across the track, couldn't be seen until you were up close and 'inspecting' the area.

anyway the police cleared the routes and kept a watch on the area so it was safe to go back in there, off i went on my horse to jump the trees again, i remember popping over the ditch and that's all. i don't remember the tree i jumped or anything after the ditch, i was out cold when my OH came to see what the noise was (my horse hitting the tree) and i can only assume that i passed out before the jump and made my mare go off balance going over the jump.
the only mud i had on me was on the side of my hat, my face and my shoulder so i must have taken the full brunt of the fall on my top half which again tells me i was out cold before i hit the floor!

pointless post really but i feel it was my Gran's figure that i saw. the reason i'm posting this now is because the last 24hours i've had things happen in the house, her picture was moved, her bracelet has been put back in it's box and other little things. i'm not a believer nor do i disbelieve but my Gran was a firm believer and i believe she is looking out for me somehow for something, maybe it's to do with Finn.

I'm a firm believer HF

I don't have a religion im not even christened I kind of have misture of all.

I believe that if we commit no evil during our life times (i mean real evil) that we have the chance to be reincarnated and whilst we are waiting to be reincarnated in heaven if you like to think of it as that we watch down upon our loved ones still living as in we all have guardian angels).

I get feelings if things are going to happen or little anxious thoughts and usually they are correct, sometimes nothing materilises so i either think i took note ot the warning and avoided it or i was just wrong.

Though i have had premonitions if you like and some of them have been scarily accurate.

For example i was walking down a road my brother hadnt turned up for lunch and i just new that when i turned the next corner id see his bike under the back of a car he'd had accident but was absolutely fine it was like i sore it through his eyes. And sure enough there he was when i turned the corner exactly as I'd seen it.

I believe my grandfather that i never met as he died four months before i was born and my recently lost grandmother keep a very good watch over me and help me when I need them.

I'm also a fantastic believe in carma and i need to take no action against people that i feel have wronged me.

that's really interesting HF and JG, I love threads like this, always get me reading!

I'm a bit like you, I don't believe or disbelieve, I have chosen not to be religious although I was christened and raised attending a church. I certainly believe in life after death, I don't have much idea as to what this is, but I do lean towards reincarnation of some kind

I've never had a premonition, but my mum has had scarily accurate ones

as for people still being around, I know for a fact my grandad is still looking out for us - he's also been known to do things only he would do! It's even got to the stage where my sisters partner, a consultant and very, very firm disbeliever, has accepted his presence! Several of my animals are still around too, my parents have seen a few and my cat has taken to jumping over the carpet exactly the dimensions and height as one of the sammies lying down - we have lost all our samoyeds this year - a few months after we lost our last one, she started this, the first time she did it she scared herself so much she refused to go back to the area where she saw, whatever it was she saw, until a few days after my parents went away on holiday - so I figure the sammies have gone on their annual holiday too!

LOVE this topic - I don't know what I believe any more. So many strange things happen that i've given up the ghost

HF how lucky were you that first time that you were so worried you went back. Someone definately was looking out for you that day

BG i have them 'de ja vu' dreams too, they freak me out so badly!

i have a dream then a long time down the line the dream starts to come true, the whole de ja vu feeling, i had a dream about the area i live in now, i've never been here in my life until i moved here but i knew where places were, the trouble makers etc etc.

i have loads of them dreams, been told they are premonitions, i always feel really sick if they are bad ones though and get very paranoid!
