Also. A horse in Birling, Kent has been drugged and moved to a neighbouring field to allow burglary and horses in Platt, Kent have had manes plaited and field gates marked with red.

Thankfully they didn't steal the rugs of their backs however the girls are out in rainmacks today cos their light weights have been stolen. Missy now doesn't have a medium weight.

Garrrrr. Go buy your own F*CKING rugs!!! Yet again... we're coming up to a local auction...

Bloody hell! What ******s! I have ended up tattooing our rugs to stop them being stolen, on Roman's rug it says in marker pen 'this horse has a huge fat bum', and our post code.  Seems to have stopped them being stolen so far!

It seems to be a growing trend How nasty to thieve the rugs right off your horses backs but i've heard of this a couple of times this winter.

The only suggestion I have is like AKOM has done, and put your post code right across the rug in gloss paint. Spoils the look of the rug, but the horse won't know

We had a note in our newsletter this month (from the yard) about marking our rugs.  Apparently, a number of yards in our area have had the rugs taken off the horses backs.

I have marked mine with Daf's freezemark.  Hopefully, this will put anyone off!!
