hi everyone, just to warm you theres a guy and his wife trying to sell friesians here for £900. Its a scam. He tried me to convince me to take his horses last year. I no its him as he's using the same advert and photograohs as before. He says he's selling them for medical reasons.

I have a horse on HH for sale, I have had several texts from someone asking me all about the horse (has she not read the description or looked at the photo?)

She appears to be desperate for him, without seeing him which is ringing alarm bells, shes not even local, shes way down south

Today she rang wanting my bank details so she can send me a deposit to hold the horse.Someone else is actually bothering to come and see him on thursday, she has been told this but she still wants him.

The person has been now told its cash sale only, and no bank details will be given, and we will phone her on Thursday following the others persons visit...I hopefully will be ringing to tell her he has been sold!:)

There is some queer folk about!!

Just a quick note to say watch out for scammers

I have been contacted by 'markallen204@rediffmail.com' through three advert sites about my pony for sale (you would think he may realise that its the same guy and message all the time!) This person is a scammer.

This is the same email he has sent each time

'Am so much interested in buying the horse. I would want you to get back to me
with the asking price,condition and the reason why you want to sell the horse and also get to me with at list two pic. Concerning the
payment, i would be paying you with a Banker's Draft and also i will wait until the Banker's Draft clears before i can have it with me, so i hope you understand me? so i await to hear from you soon.

Thanks a lot and speak soon.

Hi HH

Just a question re seller info. I did find being able to see all the adds an owner had up tagged to one add a really useful function.

Also I note that in the fields the dealers name is not asked for, I knew several dodgey dealers by their name and new to avoid them, but without a name I find it hard to recognise.

Also it helped stop dealers posing as private sellers as you could easily see they had several horses for sale.

May be a handy tool if there is anyway to add an extra field for sellers name and some sort of mapping to all adds by a particular owner could be added without over complicating things :D

Can we please limit size of siggys. Already reading posts that go off the screen. only takes one and it makes all posts do the same that share the same page. Very frustrating :crazy:

Is this for HH site too? If so, not liking the pics of horses on the home page and or in lists. The stretch/skew is out of sync, they look awful, puts me off the first glance and the first glance is important to buyers!

If you want to upload pics to the forum or personalise your signature, here are some simple steps if you get stuck :hehe:

For your signature, go to your Control Panel found here

Then click on Signature

Next, click on that little icon of a mountain with a red sun!

The tricky bit is getting your pics to a nice handy size. So click on the corner like this:

You might have to fiddle about a bit to get them just right :P When you're finished, make sure you save or update ;)

To post pics, just select the picture icon above the text box, select the file you want, then click the Add Image box.

To add an Avatar, follow the same steps as for adding a signature but select Avatar instead. Your Avatar will be resized automatically to suit the forum.

If you notice any pics over running the screen,please bring it to my attention in case I missed it :Whistling: and if things aren't working as they should, just ask for help :)

For the sales side of the site unless I'm missing it there is no way to 'favourtie' an add. Is there any chance this sort of option could be added?
