Ha ha BC deeply fed up because there were so many horses that looked in need of a good feed and love, and ohhh in trouble now, but not because i bought anything, because ive been misserable all day!!

to be honest I wouldnt be quick enough to buy anything, im to much of a ponderer with horses, and couldnt really hear what was bidding through all the hustle and bustle.

Walking around i did see one that i quite liked, but dont know why they all had something strange about them, supose its the bottom end of the market and thats why they are there. SAD, Dont ever go!

I know what you mean - the last time we went even OH was appalled by the condition of the horses and he tends to be fairly practical about things - he thinks with his head ( for head read cheque book ) whereas I think with my heart.

There was one horse last time that broke my heart he was in one of the pens his head was almost on the floor . he was skinny and covered in bites from other horses. I assumed that he must have been an oldie who was getting bullied by younger horses. When I asked the seller about him I was shocked to hear that he was rising 4 - he went into the ring and there were bids up to 1,000 guineas but they wouldn't sell him for that. I so wanted to pick him up and get him out of there but as OH said we didn't have enough experience to deal with him as the chances are once he got some food inside him he could turn into 16 hands of demon.

I get the list though for each auction but have never gone back

Well ive been before and knew what i was in for... butttt... got there today and came away about 40 mins later. Absolutely disgusting, those poor horses. I have to say I did not see one that was in a condition i would be happy with, they had no back ends, some with ribs showing, another one was sooo fat its head looked like it was off a horse a lot smaller. they were going very cheap.

As i say i came away as i couldn't stomach it today, and it put me in a rotten mood all day... never again!:w00t:

Will be interesting to see what you think - as its local to me have been a couple of times and to be honest found it heartbreaking.

OH won't let me go anymore especially now we have a working trailer - lord only knows what I would come back with.

Im off to York sales tommorrow, shouldnt really, i will probably come away deeply fed up or in trouble, haha:D
