I can't believe I'm even writing this....

A week ago yesterday I had my beloved Princess PTS, She has left the biggest hole in my heart you couldn't even imagine it. One of a lifetime, miss you Molly sleep tight, be a good girl xxx

My little ratty Dex sadly passed away last week. He was only a year old, Vet isnt sure if it was a chest infection or possibly a tumour as the antibiotics just didnt appear to help, he went downhill literally in a couple ofhours and was gone. Poor duke and rocko dont know what to do without him :(

just found out a horse at my old college has been put to sleep he was such a gentle giant and loves a good scratch and a cuddle! im really gutted i loved this big lad.r.i.p boy!

heres what ive been told

he did somethin to his back, his bridle got caught in door wen someone was tackin him up and as he pulled back he hurt his back, did somethin to his nerves i think n he started walkin all dodgy coz the nerves were cut off on his spine

I got back from sking yesterday at 1 am and woke up this morning mom told me molly had gone don hill last week end to the point where she wouldnt get up so on monday mom made the heartbreaking decision to have her pts :(

Mollys story
my mom was 8 months pregnent with me when molly was born and as soon as i was born i spent most of my time out with molly she was the first thing i saw outside the hospital.
she was very sucessful in inhand showing winning everything possible then had an amazing ridden career and became awonderful broodmare. i spent most of my time with molly for all of my life so far as there was only a month in the difference .
we tought she would have until next october at least so this is one of the hardest things ever :(

worst week possible last week our friend who own our old pony rosie sadly lost rosie :(

she had a touch of colic and the vet gave her Buscopan and she reacted to it and died of shock/heart attack. Heavy in foal at the time..

we bought rosie from england about 6 years ago she was unbeliveably skin but so sweet and we loved her

when will this day ever end :(

She was the family guinea pig that lived indoors who we were all very fond of.

My mum found her dead in her cage this morning. Very sad that she didn't make it to the spring grass cause she loved it, but she was quite an old girl at 6yo, it was just her time to go :(

R.I.P Tallulah (Lewey). Hope you've found Dewey on the other side of the bridge :)

I don't like coming into Rainbow Bridge on here because it's always sad stuff, but I wanted to mention my lovely old cat, Patrick who died tonight.

He was a red point Siamese, and amazingly affectionate, vocal and soft. I got him in 2000 and he wasn't young then, but don't know how old he was. He had the best temperament I have ever known in any animal.

He started with a few problems toward the end of last year but soldiered on and was happy and contented. Over the weekend, he seemed to go a bit senile, walking around and crying like he didn't know where he was. I had made my mind up to take him to the vet in the morning and have him PTS so I was sad, but also glad when he stopped pacing around, curled up, went to sleep and never woke up.

He was like my shadow and I know i'll miss him a lot.

Well what can I say my beloved Oscar was PTS this morning after on and off illnesses for the last year.
We taught each other so much and he truely was 1 in a million to me.
You only had a short life of 7 years but I've had the best time with you while I had you.

Oscar you will always be in my heart forever but please have fun up there and say hi to Delightful and all the others up there as you run free.

and have won hundereds of euro on him

he will be missed by many

but he died doing what he loved galloping

I bought dad a spaniel pup we named Pip, for Christmas, 17 years ago and this morning the little chap lost his fight.

He was the best gun dog we'd ever had with a fantastic reputation out on the field, he was in work until a couple of years ago when Dad decided it was time to retire him, much to Pip's displeaser and he would often sneak out to join the shoot.

We knew his time was near so I said my goodbyes last night. Bless the old boy, he waited until mum and dad got up this morning before closing his eyes for the last time.

He's trained many of the other dogs over the years, had a great life and an even better retirement.

Sleep tight little man, join your friends at Rainbow Bridge, never forgotten, you'll always be in our hearts xxx

Hi all,

Sorry I havent been on in a long time - Iv had a hellish year!

Just wanted to add Miss Quilliam to this topic as she is going to be PTS tomorrow, shes had what we suspect as pnuemonia, and although the infection is gone - the damage is already done, and her lung will not be able to hold ot sufficiently - nor will I be able to feed her the energy she requires to support herself in the breathing alone!

She does leave me with a lovely baby boy - sadley I loose her and her unborn foal!

I want to remember her as herself in the summer galloping with her baby - not the shadow she is now!

Our beautiful mare Topic was pts today, lost her footing on the yard and landed heavily and broke her hip. The vet said it was a severe break and nothing could be done.

Not really sure what to do with myself, had a big falling out in the family recently so I haven't seen her for a long time, nor have I seen Arnie which has made this all the harder.

he wasn't mine, he was owned by a lovely woman who also owns Muppet

he was only 10 :crying: in his time he was a very successful racer and then became a great endurance and all round horse

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

sorry for the bad timing just it is sadly the 4 year anniversary of our amazing mare
she was put to sleep at the age of 21 years old because of chushing disease :'(
we only had her 1 year (he owner died and we inherited her) but i9 love her so much she got me trough starting secondary school:(
The worst thing is mom neaver told me she was being put down just one day i went out to see her and she wasnt there so i neaver got to say good bye :(

my old boy is gone

Today was the day for my old boy - he was 17 years old and we knew that we had reached the stage when every day was a bonus.

We found him collapsed on the floor , he couldn't get up so we knew that we would have to make the call. The rottie is lost without him and so am I.

I just hope that they have jaffa cakes over the bridge ( they were his favourites )

you couldn't have found a more genuine, confidence giving and loving horse :( i think everyone at work will miss her. This is the most recent pic i have (not me riding, i know the person but didn't want to plaster their face on the web), and you can see it was our olddd dusty school.

Not sure what to say cause it still doesn't seem real

Yesterday our very special lady at the yard went to sleep in the beautiful Cornish sun

She had a lot of complications that I won't go into, but this was the fairest and kindest decision her owner Jimmy has had to make for her

We're all gonna miss her so much, she was the only girl on the yard and kept the boys in line, especially her two neighbours Joey and Parker. Both are already reacting a bit, and I expect Joey to act out a bit more but it's still early days

Just a quick note to say that one of the riding school horses was pts today following colic. He was opened up to see what was going on and he'd completely twisted his gut in more than 2 places and was going to need a large portion removed and was given less than a 50:50 chance of survival.

Seems wierd as only last week he was bounding around being a complete a*se and winding everyone up.

Sleep tight Bart and run free (or as close to a run as you used to lollop mainly) over rainbow bridge. x

This is my beautiful Welsh Section D rescue horse Ebony. We had her from Wales after a man had left her and her filly foal in a field with no food, water etc (so bad that the filly had its leg trapped in farm machinery and neither of them could be wormed incase it was too strong and killed them) she was a complete mess when we had her and was terrifed of people.
She was my first horse up from ponies and we had an amazing 3 years with her until one day she came crawling to the gate when I got to the field, she'd got Colic. The vet gave her an injection and told us she would either get better overnight or hemmorrhage but we'd have to wait until the next day to see. Myself and my mum spent the next 17 hours with her, lying in the stable until the next morning when she got up and went back to her normal self, neighing for food, whinneying at us to go outside and enjoying cuddles. When the vet came he told us she had hemmorrhaged, so she wasnt in pain anymore and thats why she seemed all ok again but actually she needed to be put to sleep. It was the most heartbreaking thing we have ever had to do especially because I was adamant she was ok.
Its been 7 years since my beautiful Ebony died and not a day passes when I don't think about her. I know I will never find another horse that compares to her, we had an unbreakable bond. Considering all she had been through in the past she was so trusting. I can only look back and be thankful that she had a wonderful 3 years with us before she passed and didnt have to suffer anymore. ♥

I miss my girl so much I can't even begin to put it into words. She was a perfect horse and has left a huge hole in everyones hearts who knew her :crying:
