I am 16 and have been taking lessons since I was 6 on and off, but nearly every Saturday for the past 2 years.

I would love to gain more experience, get my hands dirty and generally just get stuck in.

I am at school during the week, so would only be available on weekends (during term time) which I know may be a problem.

If anyone thinks they may be able to offer a few hours riding in exchange for some extra help in the yard I would love to hear from you.

HELP !!! Having noseband and saddle cloth trouble

Hi!!! everyone ok so i decided to get the pony i was talking about in my last post, now i have him i am currently puzzled on a few things and am starting to loose a bit of hope, the issues that i am having are the following:

1= the noseband on his bridle, the bridle that came with him had no noseband and wasn't a very good bridle, so brought a new pony bridle but the noseband doesn't fit him so have tried a cob nose band and that is too big, but want to use a noseband on his bridle, if you have any ideas or tricks up your sleeve please could you help me !!!

2= the other issue i am haveing is that his saddle cloth keeps slipping under his saddle when schooled or ridden etc, i have tried loads of differnt ways and saddle clothes, again any ideas or tricks would be great !!, and also how do you rate the anti slip saddle clothes that are about

ok so i have my boy he is an 8yr old gelding and was just wondering what colour or colours would suit him, he already has travel boots made by cuddle ponies in purple and a tail bandage in purple, hehe purple is my favorite colour but also just wanted your option too

his colour on his paper work is marked down as liver chestnut

Good Afternoon,

I have already planned a 6th Birthday party for my daughters on the 15th April 2011 and was wondering if you could help. My Daughter is very passionate about Horses and although she is having a Disney Tangled rupunzel Party she is keen to have a pony or horse attend. Is it possible for you to arrange for a white horse or pony to attend her party as a surprise for the last half hour to take photos and allow her guests to stroke. The party will be held at the Pavillion on the cricket green The Village, Caterham - On -The-Hill Surrey. across the green from the Lady Bird Pub and Tesco's. I would be grateful if you could get back to me confirming whether this is possible and the cost.

LOOKING FOR A YARD

I am moving next month and looking for stables to move my shetland pony onto. Not looking for anything fancy with a meage or jumps etc (but dont mind if they're there of course!) as my little Rusty only needs a stable and grazing.

his current set up consists of 3 fields: 2 x extra short grazing 2 x short grazing. He pairbonds easily but has never shared a field with other horses or ponys (no particular reason - although sometimes he thinks he's about 16hands and could take on the hulk if he had to! lol)

If anyone knows of any names, numbers or anything, please let me know

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could help please? My mare has started to grip the bit in her teeth when i take it out. But she then starts to panic and her head goes straight up in to the air. She's had her teeth checked. I have tried changing bits which the dentist advised but nothing seems to be working. Please help!!!:(

I'm guessing HH and TH will know the answer to this, I am watching a horse on this site he was posted 16th February and I just wondered out of interest how long the adds last or if there are options? (I've never advertised on a site like this).

I have recently received and email from [b]mirk_101@yahoo.com[/b] all emails are identical stating that he urgently wants to buy my horse. Initially I thought it was odd but replied with the information he requested, additional photos etc. he then replied saying that he was away on business but had the cheque ready to post to me, but in order for him to do that he needed the following: name, full address, postcode and telephone number, at this point I didn't reply and I never heard anything back from him. Yesterday however I had another 2 e-mails from him identical to the first. I know this is a scam, would you buy a horse without even viewing it. Please note his email address and ignore him if you get anything from him.

Any suggestions>?!

Hey guys

Im hoping that someone might just be able to help me?!

I have run my own yard for several years now and I teach and comepete to quite a high level (international level) eventing and dressage. I have some lovely horses and clients but we are homeless!

My yard that I have been based on is no longer usable and finding another yard is proving impossible! I produce horses and have horses in for schooling and Im looking for a new base.

We have horses everywhere at the moment! Im looking for around 8 stables (i do have 2 single units of my own) and an arena, accomadation ideally in and around the cheshire area. Quite happy to move slightly out of the cheshire area as long as its commutable distance for my clients based in ashley/wilmslow/congleton etc

Im very experienced and keep a tidy yard so dont understand why this task of finding a new base is impossible!

I would quite happily be based and help someone run a yard or help produce horses in exchange for the above! but Im open to suggestions! can anyone think of anything I could try?! or maybe you know of something?

Word Length in Ad

Just a suggestion for the ads themselves. I don't know if you get a greater word limit if you pay for your ads but to advertise for a rider for Tehya on here i had to chop so much important stuff out of her ad and really be so concise.

I'd written the ad elsewhere and had just copied and posted what i had written into the ad here and wondered why i had two completely inappropriate riders call about her.... it was because they could only read half my ad! :w00t: It allows you to copy and paste all the ad and then just chops it after 5000 characters which i didn't know unless i went through the entire procedure of finishing the ad and then going and looking at it while live.

Maybe a preview button of the entire ad would be useful or... for the box to stop you copying and pasting/ writing too much in it.

Muddled? Yeah me too. ;)
